1 Register on the Official Portal
All SSC applications start on the official recruitment portal. Ensure you are on the correct, government-operated website.
Visit ssc.gov.in NEVER share your login credentials, OTP, or payment details with third parties. SSC will never call you asking for these.
2 Upload Photograph
Strict Photo Rules for SSC
- File size: 20KB – 50KB
- Background: white or or or light
- • CRITICAL: SSC strictly requires a LIVE PHOTO CAPTURE via webcam or the 'mySSC' mobile app.
- • Do NOT attempt to capture a picture of a pre-existing printed photograph. This will result in summary rejection.
- • Face must be directly facing the camera, with no spectacles, caps, or masks.
- • Note: Applications submitted through the Aadhaar Based Authentication process have certain relaxations regarding photo rejections, but a proper live photo is highly recommended.
3 Upload Signature
Strict Signature Rules for SSC
- File size: 10KB – 20KB
- Ink color: blue or or or black
- • CRITICAL: Signature must be strictly between 10 KB to 20 KB in JPEG/JPG format.
- • Image dimension of the signature should be exactly 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
- • Signature must be horizontal. Blurred or 'miniature' signatures will be rejected summarily.
- • Note: Applications submitted through the Aadhaar Based Authentication process have certain relaxations regarding signature rejections, but strict adherence to size and dimensions is advised.
4 Review & Submit Application
- Double-check name spelling exactly as it appears on your 10th Marks card.
- Ensure category selection (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) is correct as it cannot be changed later.
- Save the final Application Form PDF and Payment Receipt PDF immediately after submission.
