1 Register on the Official Portal
All SSC applications start on the official recruitment portal. Ensure you are on the correct, government-operated website.
Visit ssc.gov.in NEVER share your login credentials, OTP, or payment details with third parties. SSC will never call you asking for these.
2 Upload Photograph
Strict Photo Rules for SSC
- File size: 20KB – 50KB
- Background: white or or or light
- • CRITICAL: SSC now strictly requires a LIVE PHOTO CAPTURE via webcam or by downloading the official app via QR code.
- • Pre-existing uploaded photographs are strictly prohibited.
- • Find a place with good light and a plain background.
- • Ensure the camera is at eye level and look straight ahead.
- • Face must be directly facing the camera, with no spectacles, caps, or masks.
3 Upload Signature
Strict Signature Rules for SSC
- File size: 10KB – 20KB
- Ink color: blue or or or black
- • Signature must be strictly between 10 KB to 20 KB in JPEG/JPG format.
- • Image dimensions should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
- • Horizontal orientation only. Blurred or miniature signatures will be rejected summarily.
- • NOTE: For PwD (VH - Visually Handicapped) candidates, a thumb impression is allowed in place of a signature.
4 Review & Submit Application
- Double-check name spelling exactly as it appears on your 10th Marks card.
- Ensure category selection (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) is correct as it cannot be changed later.
- Save the final Application Form PDF and Payment Receipt PDF immediately after submission.
