1 Register on the Official Portal
All RRB applications start on the official recruitment portal. Ensure you are on the correct, government-operated website.
Visit www.rrbapply.gov.in NEVER share your login credentials, OTP, or payment details with third parties. RRB will never call you asking for these.
2 Upload Photograph
Strict Photo Rules for RRB
- File size: 30KB – 70KB
- Dimensions: 320 × 413 px
- Background: white
- • CRITICAL NEW RULE: RRB now strictly requires a LIVE PHOTO CAPTURE via webcam or mobile front camera.
- • Pre-existing uploaded photographs are strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate rejection.
- • Dress in NON-WHITE clothing (preferably dark colors) to maintain contrast with the background.
- • Face must be centered, directly facing the camera, with a neutral expression.
- • No caps, masks, or glasses/spectacles are allowed during the live capture.
3 Upload Signature
Strict Signature Rules for RRB
- File size: 30KB – 49KB
- Dimensions: 140 × 60 px
- Ink color: black
- • CRITICAL: Sign on plain white paper with a BLACK ink pen ONLY. Blue ink will be rejected.
- • Signature must be in running/cursive handwriting. BLOCK, CAPITAL, or DISJOINTED letters will result in rejection.
- • Scan the signed paper using a minimum resolution of 100 DPI.
- • Image format must be JPG/JPEG with dimensions of at least 140x60 pixels.
- • PwBD candidates unable to sign may upload a scanned fingerprint (Left/Right thumb or any feasible finger).
4 Review & Submit Application
- Double-check name spelling exactly as it appears on your 10th Marks card.
- Ensure category selection (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) is correct as it cannot be changed later.
- Save the final Application Form PDF and Payment Receipt PDF immediately after submission.
