Every year, thousands of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test applications are rejected due to incorrect photograph and signature formats. Follow this strict guide to ensure your registration is accepted.
1 Register on the Official Portal
All NEET applications start on the official recruitment portal. Ensure you are on the correct, government-operated website.
Visit neet.nta.nic.in NEVER share your login credentials, OTP, or payment details with third parties. NEET will never call you asking for these.
2 Upload Photograph
Strict Photo Rules for NEET
- File size: 10KB – 200KB
- Dimensions: 350 × 450 px
- Background: white
- Recent passport-size photograph with 80% face visible including ears against white background.
- JPG/JPEG format only. Must be clearly legible.
- Photograph must be taken on or after 01 January 2026.
- Live photograph will be captured at time of application (webcam or mobile QR scan).
- Spectacles are allowed only if used regularly. Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
3 Upload Signature
Strict Signature Rules for NEET
- File size: 10KB – 100KB
- Ink color: blue or_black
- JPG/JPEG format. Must be clearly legible.
- Upload your own signature only — uploading someone else's signature will be treated as Unfair Means (UFM).
4 Review & Submit Application
- Double-check every field — name spelling, DOB, category, photo, and signature.
- Take a screenshot / printout of the confirmation page with your registration ID.
- Save the payment receipt PDF. Most boards send confirmation via email / SMS.
